About me

I am a PhD candidate (ABD) in Political Science at the University of Michigan. My dissertation research interrogates Black Americans' faith in the American Dream and the  influence this faith has on their beliefs about racial inequality and their support for race-targeted social policies. I am broadly interested in public opinion about social inequality, racial attitudes and political behavior. To this end, my collaborative research projects examine the interaction between race and emotions in political participation and the effects of learning about racial inequality on support for racially redistributive policies. My research has been supported by the Ford Foundation, the American Political Science Association and the Russell Sage Foundation. Please explore my website to learn more about me and my ongoing research projects.
